A subgenre of the martial arts films, these
films center on the stereotypical, historically
inaccurate, image of the ninja costume and his arsenal
of weapons often including fantasy elements such as
ninja magic.
Many such movies were produced by splicing
stock ninja fight footage with footage from unrelated
film projects.
